Online Panel Features Lugar Center Oversight Index

The Lugar Center’s project director for the just-released Congressional Oversight Hearing Index (COHI), Jamie Spitz, was a featured panelist yesterday in an online symposium on Congressional oversight sponsored by the Levin Center at Wayne Law and the Wayne Law Review. Ms. Spitz discussed how scholars and citizens can use the Lugar Center’s new COHI database of 20,000 Congressional hearings to assess the oversight performance of all House and Senate committees since 2009. The webinar, “Congressional Oversight Databases,” also featured presentations from Molly Reynolds of the Brookings Institution and Jonathan Lewallen from the University of Tampa.
